Jeff,
Pull the yoke and confirm it isn't shot. Did you ring the yoke? Did you
monitor the secondary voltage feeding vertical IC? Check the vertical
supply diode. I'm sure you've done all the above... :-)

Problem : Smoked IC541 TDA8172 and open R561
Replaced both and smoked them again!
No shorted parts found.
Hoping the Yoke isn't shot.
Any thoughts before we continue?
