Hello Tel-Tek,
Far as questionable amps, I will use some speakers I grab out of TV sets when 
they are junked. They come in all types of impedances. I also have a Sencore 
PA81 Stereo analyzer that I use so I can run a loud volume and remain 
protected. Only when I am satisfied there is no more problem with the amp, do I 
hook it up to the good bench speakers.



-- As far as the dimming headlights, adding another 4ga ground wire from the 
battery to the chassis will usually solve that.
