[TechAssist] Seagate SCSI hard drive problem (model# ST336705LC)

Does anyone out there have of one these drives, model#  ST336705LC that may
be able to assist me here. See the following excerpt from my post to
Seagate:

This SCSI was given to me by someone who had no use for it. I currently
 use the Seagate 15K RPM SCSIs with RAID 0 so I went to install this 10K
 RPM drive separately as a backup drive which worked fine. Upon removing
 the drive and reinstalling it, I found it was dead as a doornail. Close
 inspection reveals that it appears that when sliding the drive in or out
 from the tower, some surface mount resistors and/or capacitors in the area
 between the pin 1 side of the DSP Texas Instruments IC and the outer edge
 of the circuit board were accidentally torn from their respective lands.
 Of course, I do NOT have another drive of this same model to compare it to
 to confirm if this is true nor what their respective values would be.
