[TechAssist] Sanyo VWM-690 confused

Or maybe its me that is confused. Mechanism, sensors, mode switch, and power
are OK. When power is turned on most of the function lights turn on but will
not load cassette. When inserting a cassette, power turns on and drum starts
running. Loading motor gets a brief forward and reverse pulse. Power can be
turned off and the lights go off. Digital display comes on, changes a little
and settles on RF-03. Does this 2000 year model vcr have a reset
procedure?
