Have you all been seeing bad splitters on the PTK195 series chassis? I have
seen many on the PTK169. I don't think I have seen a bad splitter on a
PTK195 yet, unless I have misdiagnosed some. I wondered why they did not
seem to fail on the 195's like they do on the 169's. This is interesting
though. That is why this forum is so important.

The H/V splittter would be my primary suspect. Before replacing it, try
reseating all the leads.

on.  After a few seconds the picture on all three tubes pulsates, the
picture goes from an in focus picture to an out of focus picture.  This
pulsating speeds up the longer the set is on(I have not had it on long than
a few seconds with fear of loosing the IHVT.)  The picture also gets
brighter with the pulsing.  I was thinking that it may be the HV Splitter
but just wanted to check here first.  Also the B+ measures correctly.
