Jeff,
Had a CTC 169 with no audio, here's what solved my problem. Traced audio
signal to pins 10 & 12 of IC1402, had audio on pins 10 & 12, but nothing on
output pins 8 & 14 of this chip. Found low voltages on pins 4 & 11. Found
shorted cap(C1412)(.1) off of pin 4 of IC 1402.
Had a CTC168 with no audio(don't know if the 168 & 169 chassis have the same
audio circuit or not, but I'll give you the fix on the 168 just in case)
Traced audio signal to IC U1501 had audio on pins 2 & 15, but nothing on
pins 6 & 11. Replaced U1501, still same problem. Checked signal when volume
buttons pushed, had signal on pins 3 & 4 of IC 1601, but nothing on pins
9,10,11, or 12. Replaced IC1601 to solve no audio.
