Gary, From RCA Fix Finder: X-Ray Shutdown due to excessive Reg B+; Using a variac to control Reg B+, U1001-30 was measured at .5V; Checking in Reg B+ circuit, R4157 was found to be open. Replacing it restored normal B+ regulation. (Note: In this version R4157 is actually a 143K instead of 95.3K, R4158 is an alternate value & R4170 is not installed) . Note: RCA Parts Finder lists the two values indicated above (143K and 95.3K). I guess it depends on the set. The RCA part numbers are as follows for the two: 143K - RCA# 184980 95.3K - RCA# 217311 Bob Waterman, CET® #RI-28 Master Technician License #9109 Service Manager Gemini Computer, TV, & Security Alarms (508)695-7302 (508)695-7769 FAX geminitv@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx geminitv@xxxxxxx ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gary McCartney" <gary@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, December 02, 2002 7:45 PM Subject: [TechAssist] RCA TV mod. 20GT324 chas.
