Thanks to those who offered help on this bear.
This one had intermittent power. Would try to turn on three times then
stop. Sometimes it would power up with vertical collapse. I t was very
intermittent and stopped showing the problem when dissassembled.
The solution was to resolder connections to one of the modules on the power
board (the one near the wiring harness to the vertical module). This
chassis is notoriously hard to work on and there was no way to see the
connections without removing the module from the power board.
If any of you run into one of these make sure that you estimate high. Just
getting to the power board is a chore.
