That's what I want to hear Max, I can't wait to tell you it works and that was the problem. Now all I have to do is wait for the mail. Actually it doesn't come to me; I have to go to it. Did I mention I live out in the boonies! lol David Lessard Alexandria, Ontario. I'm sure I'll find one. If anyone has a known good EPROM to send my way, don't be shy. BTW are these things preprogrammed? David Lessard Alexandria, Ontario. I have (5V) data activity on pins 5 and 6 of EPROM. Data is always active, it never stops after AC plug-in, and this may indicate a bad EPROM. Also I'm not too sure about U3101-5 (KD1 pin), schematic says voltage should be 0V; I'm reading 5V off the pin (disconnected from the PCB). I can see how the panel button matrix works for CH UP, CH DN and MENU but I can't make sense of POWER, VOL UP and VOL DN. How does U3101-5 (KD1 pin) work for those buttons that don't seem to work? Perhaps I have two problems here. Looking for input on this as I've never done a system control problem before. Thanks techs, David Lessard Alexandria, Ontario.
