Richard, In general, there should be little or no dc offset on the convergence yokes. Just measure at the conv yoke connectors. Some systems bias them slightly left and right on the red and blue initially to compensate for the horizontal linearity correction, but after alignment they should be pretty close to zero. If you have dc of more than a hundred millivolts or so on the yokes, you either have a leaky component or the static convergence correction is off. The latter can be checked by looking at the input to the output amps and centering the consumer controls in their range. The former would not likely affect more than one channel. Have the CRTs been removed or replaced? I tried the rings on the crt's as well as the electronic menu. I can move both about 2 inches with the static convergence menu but either the red can match the green or the blue, but not both. I tried moving the green around and trying to line them up but i am still way off horizontally .Is there a good way to check the dc correction voltages or adjust them? The circuit wont let me disable the electronic convergence to manually center the crts without blanking the crts.like I can on zeniths. TIA!!!
