Subject: [TechAssist] RCA Model# HD50LPW167 chassis ATC332 lamps goes off
and on while set is playing

> This is a DLP model and while the set is playing the lamp will just go
out, you never lose the sound, the front panel will flash 5 times then wait
a few seconds then the lamp will fire back up. I know the panel flashing
just means there is a problem with the lamp which is pretty obvious since I
have watched the lamp go out. This will happen over and over after the set
warms up a little.
> I don't have a lamp or ballast to try yet and only the lamp seems to be
available right now so I was wondering of anyone can offer any thoughts
before I start ordering and waiting for parts. Can these lamps be
intermitant or is it most likely the ballast?
