Ronnie, I posted the same problem last week. My convergence is really bowed and way too wide..if you find a solution, let me know. After two days on location, I decided to make arrangements for the set to come in the shop. I did get fairly close by starting our at level 2 adjustments, but eventually, I would lose video for some reason and have to press "clear" twice, then power off and start all over. The calibration setting seems to affect your adjustments, if it was tried when the convergence was way off. Get it as close as you can, then try the calibration, then go back into level 3 and try adjusting it again. BTW, the set came to be with a bad CRT and another shop had cut the focus and HV wires from the FBT. I didn't notice it until I powered the set up and found the focus lead arcing to a heat sink...sounds like we may have the same problem. I expect the set Tues so I can work on it in more detail. If I find the problem, I'll post the fix. Afterwards, that somehow fed back and knocked the convergence adjustments way off and also now the last 4 convergence menu adjustments will not adjust at all!! Picture is bowed particulary on the left side of the top and bottom. I do still have all my B+ voltages to the conv. panel. Any ideas would be very much appreciated!!
