Unit came in with the HOT Q4401 shorted. I thought I would cover all my bases by replacing CR4401, C4401, CR4402, C4402, C4403, CR4118, C4145. Also soldered normal flyback pins, driver transformer pins, Pincushion transformer pins and any other questionable connections. Before I applied B+ to the deflection circuit I made sure it wasn't running to high. Actually it was running 123 volts in standby which I think is a little low. I even measured the HV at 29KV before I connected the CRT. So I hooked everything up, pressed the power button and I had sound and picture. It looked like it was running normally but in about 30 seconds it shut down and shorted the HOT again. The transistor was even still cold to the touch. Does any one have any ideas on what might be going on? TIA, Dale -- Dale A.
