The Old Master Technician is right, I have the same problem with several of those new technology sets, and that is the cure, John Conty gave me the tip on the first I fixed. Don't be surprised if after 2 or 3 month you have to set the screen control again Good Luck pete Perdomo Tv Since 1979 Miami, Fl Sender: techassist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx From: jr.myers@xxxxxxxxxxx(Jim=A0Myers) Date: Mon, Nov 14, 2005, 3:55pm To: techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [TechAssist] Re: Philips 32" ctv Model 32PT543\L01 chasis Reply=A0to: techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx First your computer thinks this is Jan 14 1980, fix your clock. Second the problem is probably just the screen adjustment, turn it up till you see faint retrace lines then back it off just to the point where the retrace lines cannot be seen. Too high it will shut down and too low it will shut down. I had an extra flyback in stock and replaced it.Now the tv has a very nice pix but after about 30\45 min,it shuts dn completely.I adjusted the screen control on the flyback and the pix stay's on ok.I am just not comfortable with it.I know that the yoke wires being bundled together will also cause shutdn but I have already seperated both from each other and the tuner. The screen control ajustment must be very critical. What is the best way to do the adjustment on this chasis so that it won't shutdn anymore?Or,is there a bullitin on this chasis that mentions a shutdn problem?I would apreciate any and all the help.Thanks.
