The Real Flat (RF models) screen sizes of 20", 24" and 27"
have full horizontal geometry adjustments. Also all 32" and 36" have these
adjustments. This includes WIDTH, E-W PARABOLA, etc.
In the convential 25" and 27" CRT's there is only one Horizontal adjustment,
HOR SHIFT (center).

The following are the option bytes for your model (27RF50S125):

OB1 - 000
OB2 - 023
OB3 - 129
OB4 - 162
OB5 - 252
OB6 - 152
OB7 - 000

Horizontal:

· Horizontal Parallelogram (HP) Align straight vertical lines in the top and
the bottom; vertical rotation around the center.

· Horizontal Bow (HB) Align straight horizontal lines in the top and the
bottom; horizontal rotation around the center.

· Horizontal Shift (HSH) Align the horizontal center of the picture to the
horizontal center of the CRT.

· East West Width (EWW) Align the picture width until the complete test
pattern is visible.

· East West Parabola (EWP) Align straight vertical lines at the sides of the
screen.

· Upper Corner Parabola (UCP) Align straight vertical lines in the upper
corners of the screen.

· Lower Corner Parabola (LCP) Align straight vertical lines in the lower
corners of the screen.

· East West Trapezium (EWT) Align straight vertical lines in the middle of
the screen.

· H60 Align straight horizontal lines if NTSC system is used (60 Hz) i.s.o.
PAL (50 Hz).

Vertical:

· Vertical slope (VSL) Align the vertical center of the picture to the
vertical center of the CRT. This is the first of the vertical alignments to
perform. For an easy alignment, set SBL to ON.

· Vertical Amplitude (VAM) Align the vertical amplitude so that the complete
test pattern is visible.

· Vertical S-Correction (VSC) Align the vertical linearity, meaning that
vertical intervals of a grid pattern must be equal over the entire screen
height.

· Vertical Shift (VSH) Align the vertical centering so that the test pattern
is located vertically in the middle. Repeat the 'vertical amplitude'
alignment if necessary.

· Vertical Zoom (VX) The vertical zoom is added in for the purpose of
development. It helps the designer to set a proper values for the movie
expand or movie(16x9) compress. Default value is 25.

· V60 Align straight vertical lines if NTSC system (60 Hz) is used i.s.o.
PAL (50 Hz).

· Service blanking (SBL) Switch the blanking of the lower half of the screen
ON or OFF (to be used in combination with the vertical slope alignment).

This Factory Mode Remote (FMR) is designed to operate the Service
Adjustments in the L8 and M8 chassis that are built without a Service
Alignmen
Mode (SAM) and Service Default Mode (SDM).
It does this by placing the TV in the Factory Mode and then giving access to
all
needed adjustments. Read all the instructions before attempting to use this
remote control.
Models without SAM/SDM:
14RF50S3. 20RF50S3 27PS55S121 MS3250C121 32PS61S121
19PS50S121 24RF50S7 27PS60S121 MS3250C129 32PS61S129
19PS50S122 25PS50S121 27RF50S121 32PS60B121 MS3650C12<
19PS50S125 27PS50B121 27RF50S125 32PS60B129
Fpr Export:
20LW202225 26LW502221 29LL600121 33LL801129
The above listed models require the FMR. The remaining models using the L8
and M8 chassis have normal access to SAM and SDM with the customer's
remote using the 062596MENU or 062596STATUS. Models with normal
access to SAM and SDM will also work with the FMR in the same way as the
above, models

Remove the battery door and install 2 AAA penlight batteries. Observe the
polarity marks in the battery holder. Use fresh alkaline batteries. The
memory
of commands is not effected by dead batteries or battery removal. Weak
batter-
ies may cause wrong commands to be transmitted.
When sending commands with the FMR always remember:
1. One press will send one command step, for continued change repeat the
press. Holding the button down will not continue the change.
2. Do not jab at the button on the FMR. Some functions are a string of as
many as 3 commands and require a button press of at least I second.
3. The power LED on the TV will indicate the reception of commands.
TO ENTER FACTORY MODE
Turn on the TV in the normal manner (customer remote or on-set keyboard).
Supply a pattern generator signal and select that channel. Using the FMR
select
page (press) A, then press 26. An "F" will appear in the upper right corner.
This
will remain as long as you are in Factory Mode.
TO EXIT FACTORY MODE AND SAVE CHANGES
On the FMR, press A and then press 24. The "F" will disappear. The TV will
not turn off until Factory Mode is exit. Then turn off by customer remote or
on-
set keyboard. And remove AC power for 10 seconds.

A-B-C COMMAND PAGES
In the use of the FMR each command requires a separate button. There is very
limited On Screen Display and no Service menu display. To provide the
required number of commands there are 3 pages of commands. A, B and C. A
press of the required A-B-C buttons will re-page the numbered keys on the
FMR. If a letter button is pressed the FMR will remain on that page until
anotl
er letter button is pressed.
REAL TIME COMMANDS
The command of adjustments such as height, AGC and white tone will show
immediate results in the picture. Changes of Option Bytes require a press of
Option Display On, a press of the desired Option Byte command, then press
the
Option Display On command to refresh the display. The new Option Byte set-
ting will not be effective until the Factory Mode is exit, the TV is
commanded
Off and AC power is removed and reapplied. Change of Sync Slicing (SL) will
also require an exit, off and replug.
