Subject: [TechAssist] Philips 27PT6441/37 L04.1U AA Dead-smoked

Philips
27PT6441/37
L04.1U AA (marked with PN: 1Q06221)
MFD July 2004
(Philips flat screen 27" with LG-Philips, Mexico CRT)
- HDT at loc#5402 is overheated

Dead Set, customer complined it smelled/smoked and quit. Have
found what appears to be the HDT (loc.# 5402) overheated-burned, also it is
conducting between all 4 pins. A resistor at location 3414 feeding the HDT
appears heated but has continuity. HOT, Horz drive Xistors appear ok.
Flyback (looks like a funai made transformer) rings well. Tech assist data
base says that the manual is avalible in force32 format as PH-7661, would be
nice to have in PDF as I don't have the Force32 installed. Set must be too
new Tritronics doesn't list it (need at least a PN for the transformer-HDT
loc# 5402) anyone see one of these yet and have any aditional failure
scenerios?
