Yes, you are right.  The model number is PV-D4742, there is no M in the 
number.  Just curious, what sort of support do you get from Panasonic as 
an ASC, especially on line?  Do you have access to Pan service manuals? 
  Do you know of any common failures for this mechanism?  The one I have 
occasionally makes a noise like slipping gears during front load causing 
it to jam and the cam gear to be out of time.   Thanks for the
