Thanks Damon,

The service guide has not arrived yet, the customer is ordering it.  
Apparently the mini fuse (4A/125 V standard) had been replaced 
on a service call a month earlier by another tech according
to the customer.

Anyway, as soon as I peruse the schematic I can determine the 
circuitry that fuse(FU106) protects. Possibly a SLOBLO type
may be in order. I wonder if there is an on-going issue at
Pioneer for this model, my gut feeling is there's some type
of regulator problem.

Your AGC fuse may not be the correct TYPE, you may need a 4 amp TIME Delay
fuse, some sets like Sony, Panasonic, and possibly Pioneer might use it.
Watch the fuse when you turn it on, if it bends during turn-on, it most
likely needs a time delay fuse.
Any idea what this fuse protects??
