Thanks to John I found Q501 shorted. It was a 2SK2662 (NTE2379). I
replaced it with a IRF840 (NTE2385). Working fine.

Max, I don,t have the schem. but I had one in the shop about a month ago
with symptom "dead"
What I found was the unregulated 12v was there at d513 but not at the
secondary side of t502.
the cause was q501, p/n t25fk26620, Q502 p/n TCAT 032034, D509 (18v
zener) and R542 (.47/ 1 watt. =A0 The 12 volts unregulated comes from
Q603. Incase you don't have it.

Follow up. What I need is the source for the 5 volt going to the eeprom
and switches.
