Ken,
This has to do with the buffer times. See if there is a setting in RP options 
to increase
the buffer times. What this does is download more info, before it starts 
playing.
If you can, just press the stop or pause button until  the progress indicator 
is almost
finished.

Friends,

I have a dialup connection to the internet.  I use the internet for my
daily devotions each morning.  One of the things I listen to is a Bible
study by Dr. J. Vernon McGee,
http://www.oneplace.com/ministries/thru_the_bible_with_jvernon_mcgee/ .

I listen to this using RealPlayer.  I hear a couple of minutes of the
audio, then it pauses for 30-50 seconds to reload for the next segment.

Is there something I can do to avoid or lessen the delays?
