I have a 1992 27" Panasonic GAOO TV that I feel is one of the best TV's
made in the 1990's. The original picture tube from Panasonic is $1400
Canadian plus shipping and taxes. The set did not cost that much new!
THAT is ridiculous! I can get a rebuilt one that may be not as good for
about $350 Cdn. That's how much the original from Panasonic SHOULD
cost. Yes, something should be done! But what?

As long as the mfgs sell their wares to the public at wholesale prices
and
sell to the repair depots at retail + its never going to get better.It
looks
like there would be something could be done. A replacement CRT for a 36
cost 772.40.
