battery failure?

Damon, and all,

I just pulled the info on this set; The 27H1 chassis has a 3V battery
which supplies power to the SRAM chip. Turns out that the battery is NOT

recharged from the circuitry in the TV. I should have charged the
battery prior to installing it last summer.
thanks to everyone who opinionated on this set.
