Make sure the "Tape" button is not pushed in. Sometimes customers start pushing 
all the buttons to try to get their unit going until they finally decide to 
bring it into the shop. They may have pushed in the "Tape" button and forgot to 
unpush it. I have had a few of these.   Neil
