Bob, I said the same thing about never worrying about drive space when I got my 120G drive but quality and memory go hand in hand when it comes to video storage and now purchasing another 200 G drive. I am using pinnacle 8 capture card and reprocess with TMPGen software, Not the greatest but I to am open to suggestions. I mostly convert the kids 8mm video to DVD.
