Yup, no vertical deflection, don't know why I didn't crank up the screen
level to confirm this last night. Momentary lapse of reasoning. Vertical
chip looks like it got real hot, can't see the numbers but XX783X, is
this a LA7832. Could someone please confirm this.

Try turning up your screen control. If you just have a no vert.
deflection.
Change IC401 UPC1498H...open R522..(1ohm/1watt) and shorted D522.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. No OSG, and no PIX via jack or
tuner. HV is present, secondary voltages check OK.  You can hear the
sound and the channels change (cable/tuner usage) but no picture.
Suspect: broken video path from jungle IC (capacitor) or worse, bad
jungle. Thanks in advance. God Bless America (North & South).
