Phil, The last time that I checked with InFocus they would not provide any support to outside servicers or customers other than to say to send it to them or to one of a handfull of ASCs. When I asked what it took to become ASC the said they only have a few and are not interested in anyone who can't guarantee a million+ in volume a year. They will sell no parts, no manuals, and provide no support at all, other than lamps and accessories. Very arrogant people, outrageous repair prices. They jsut swap boards, even for obvious problems. You can look for a lamp at several places online and sometimes find them cheaper, but that is about it other than finding a scrapper for parts. For lamps a good reference for crossing lamps is www.donsbulbs.com but their prices are too high. Leonard G. (customer called) Customer said he bought an Infocus DLP off Ebay about three years ago for about $6000.00. He ""knows whats wrong with it... The "light" is all."" I said I wasn't sure where to get support from them, suggested he search on line. he said Tampa was closest, (about 50 miles west) and he would have to pay to ship it, and "they wanted a hundred dollars just to look at it!" I passed for several reasons, all related to aggrevation.I won't go any further... Whats the deal with Infocus DLPs? Troublesome to diagnose, mfgr support good/bad? parts avail? parts cost? whats the scoop. Phil Bader -- Philip Bader Jan Phyl TV Inc. (estab. 1976) 3420 Recker Hwy.
