[TechAssist] Hitachi PTV 46EX3B fixed erratic vertical,still weak color

Customer complained of "lines thru picture" intermittantly. Turned out
to be IC601/ LA7838 with poor solder. Changed it,instability cured. In
setting it up, we noticed the color was very weak, almost B&W, but
usable. Made sure all the automatic color settings were off ( AI, color
preset,etc). Entered menu,pix settings... the amount of contrast will
change with the OSD bar moving, but color does not increase or decrease
with the OSD bar.Stays same.The colored OSD characters are good color.
Found no preset pots on chassis. Any help needed.-Phil Bader, Jan Phyl
