[TechAssist] Gateway EV700 model U7003-1 nov '99 shuts down

NOV 1999
Displays perfect picture for 30 sec then shuts down, no Obvious cause, Tried
sevreal diffent computers too win 98, NT or Linux all same results.
Gateway tech-support insists it is a software/video driver problem.
Any IDEAs.. I am thinking it is forgetting that it has a sync signal or not
properly detecting it but image when it has it is ok and it gives no
indication prior to shutting down
