Ron and All, Norton cannot repair this virus because there is nothing to repair as far as the virus goes. You must tell norton to quarantine it, then just delete it from there. If any was infected by it, you have to remove a registry key. Removal info is below. http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.badtrans.b@mm. html -Clint God Bless Us All Clint Hamilton, Owner http://OrpheusComputing.com http://ComputerHardware-ConsumerElectronics.com sales@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fax: 209-882-9602 TechAssist Administration http://tech-assist.org techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ron Miller" <rlmbkm@xxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, November 26, 2001 5:13 PM Subject: [TechAssist] Fw: Clint, Virus info ,Please read. > My Norton caught the w32.badtrans.b@mm virus couldn't repair it had to > quarantine it. > Subject line reads: "RE[Tech Assist]RE:RCA CTC 159.It is from GARY&JUANITA. > Is this virus getting though Tech Assist or what is going on?Good thing I > keep my Norton up to date. > Ron Miller > D.T.V.
