Jim,
I believe you need a service remote..
If I remember, you can make one by opening the OEM remote and jumpering J1-J2..
If you need, I can lend you mine.

I need to see if service menu adjustments will help this set, picture is
too red like the green and blue emission are both weak. Probably a shot
CRT but can't say for sure without trying the adjustments.
