Sounds to me as if you got it repaired by turning the G2 knob down, if
not...check:

The set came in with a dim picture with retace lines (too bright). I
turned the screen control down and the picture looks OK. If I turn it
all the way down the picture goes black as it should. What else should
I check on this? I have checked wins-tips and found nothing on this. John.
