There is a dead short from the collector to one of the pins on both of
the transistors.  The customer is going to go back to the high school
where he got it to try to find more info.  The scope is made by Peerless
Industries.

Don't forget that is a germanium transistor. Reads in both directions on

a meter, if I recall it should be about a 10:1 ratio. Don't know if you 
can read them on a DMM. You may have to figure out the circuit and take 
a guess what the other one is. Its likely a Ge type as well.
