[TechAssist] Canon Cam E-210-(same as 63 or 65) No Drum motion

Canon Cam E-210- (Same boards as the 63, 65 models)
Problem -originally was dead. Replaced most caps in the 400 series and
the 8-pin regulator IC. Now have power w/ all lens functions and good
eject.
Unit stays on as long as tape holder is open. Once tape (or shell)
inserted and closed, there is no load activity; no drum rotation. 'Eject'
flashes and unit shuts down.
It will eject from this condition. Did check all connections and
interconnects. Also tape -in switches. Going to swap tape deck to check
drum motor.
Anything else recommended? There is a drum driver IC and a wave shaper IC
in drum ckt but don't want to start getting in that far
