I am confused.  Was the cap you replaced bad?  Why was his reading bad?

As far as CRT Restorers/Rejuvenators...once you have a feeling for the  
capability...knowing what "spark" you expect to see in the neck when  
you clear shorts..you get to know your test equipment.

        It's almost like a marriage.
Case in point...Had a Technician for a coffee the other day...I had a  
dog on the bench.

"Quote"  Give me your ESR meter...he checked a few.Pointed to a  
particular cap(I knew it was good, had already changed it). His reading

was bad.
