I'm sorry for your loss, we lost our Bus dog in May of last year . My 4 year
old son still says he misses him and loves him. I think one of the many reasons
that it's so hard to take is their naivete in regards to their own mortality.
They are child like in that way and their unconditional love.

Lilly died today.
She was playing and chasing another dog and ran into the street. How strange
that she could live to 17 just to be hit by a car.
I didn’t cry this hard when my mother died.
