thanks sammie

so all you know, the reason why i am thinking this is because i would love a baja, i would love a car that can go anywhere and do anything and then turn onto a city street and drive like it was nothing. the problem with a baja is you can't sleep in it...well, you can't sleep in it compfortably and denis has threatened to kick me out of the tcb if i trade my bus for a beetle.

since the original bus was based on the beetle i just have to wonder, why couldn't you do it what would happen if you did do it, and, with the added weight would doing it pay off or just make it look like a jacked up bus that can't go anywhere, do anything. if anyone does have mikes email i would appreciate it a bunch. but in the mean time i am going back to the samba forums to do more research on this.

I p-mailed Brian with Mike's cell. Don't have an e-mail address on him, thought he was on the list at one time wasn't he Dan? Talked to him about how he did his bus because it looks so great. He simply raised the front with coil overs on the shocks and rasied the setting on the spring plates in the rear. Appears most of the actual lift comes from the tires though. If memory serves he is running Mickey Thompson 7:00X15 mudtrack types like the class 11 baja cars. Looks really great. How it handles on the road, you'll have to ask Mike. Keep in mind this is a split. Don't know how such an animal equipped bay would do or look.
