Yea, I did the fill them up with oil test and no leaks but when I shoot
compress air into the intake and exhaust ports – I get a little bubbles coming
from one of the exhaust valves – (I have to really shoot some air in them to
get the bubbles.

Anyone ever lapped their own vales? Hard?

Trey

Now that I’ve thought about it I think I just need to lap the valves – thanks

Smith Foreign can.  Donnie's on the east side of Houston off 225.  I think
George Karacostas can too.  He's down in Hitchcock.  Gekko probably can too.
He's around 288 and 8.  You might post up on the Aircoolers or DLK sites to see
if anyone has recent experiences to relate.

Good luck.

Anyone know of someone that rebuilds heads close to Houston ? I have a set of
heads that only have about 2,000 miles on them – they need to be checked out. I
think one of the exhaust valves leaks. I blew air in it this  morning and got a
few bubbles.

Thanks,
Trey.
