Good one Brian glad you got it rolling!

I also have a funny bus story from a few days ago. I was cruising around Lake
Austin doing my final mechanical check before psychoblooie, everything was
running great so I head home.

I turned E on 2222 when my accelerator cable falls to the floor. I coasted
down hill to the next light, stop the bus. I try to start the bus and it is
reving out of control. Turn the ignition off wave for the cars behind me to go
around. Luckily there was a concrete median to my left the only problem is
that I had to get my bus up and over the curb by myself. So I start pulling
and the front wheels go up and then after a few back and forth rocking attempts
I get the back wheels up onto the median as well. Phew out of the road

It is dark and the only light I have is my cell phone. So I opened the deck
lid checked the acc cable it is good but no throttle spring. I reached under
the pulley and there it was. A broken throttle spring. I admit to being
unprepared but all I had was a flat head so I used a rock and a flat head to
bend a new hook onto the broken spring--installed and started right away.

Made it home and ready for psychoblooie. Now I am hoping for a parting of this
weather pattern and dry conditions.

so yesterday i drove the bus to work. well i didn't bother to put the wipers
on because last time i watched the weather it said it was supposed to rain
wednesday till sunday. so i leave work early (3:30) i start to drive through
downtown hot springs when it starts sprinkling. i look up and i am right at
the front of the cloud so i start cutting through traffic to get ahead of
the storm when all the sudden the bottom drops out. i'm driving down the
road head sticking out the side window no wipers installed trying to find a
covered spot to pull over at so i can put the damn things on. finally i turn
on the gulfa gorge road (if you've been to hot springs you probably know the
road i am talking about). i stop under a tree in the middle of the narrow
ass road turn on my flashers...hmmmm no flashers. whatever i just want
wipers right now. so i put the driverside wiper on get in turn the wipers
on...hmmm no wipers. ok so i look in the pouring down rain and notice i have
a blown fuse so i put a new fuse in it popped right when i put it in. so i
turn everything off put another one in turn the wipers on and it pops. so
finally i grab the last damn fuse i have and put it in and it's been working
every since.

ahhh, the stories we have in our busses

CAN'T WAIT TILL PSYCHOBLOOIE
