James: I just talked to my local NAPA guy. He says they have a flasher that is variable load that works on both 6 & 12 V applications. It is their part # 552. His catalog shows that they are for both 12 and 6 V applications. Check with your local NAPA parts store: It is a common item and they should have it in stock. Sammie
