If it doesn't leak till it's warmed up it might be a crack in the cooler or maybe the block. I had a type 1 that had a crack under the oil cooler mount that only leaked when the engine was above about 2k rpms. You might try taking the cooler to Doug's and see if he can pressure test it. I think the type 1 tester will work on a type 4 cooler.

I have a 78 Westfalia with a GE code 2.0 hydraulic lifter motor. I have replaced the oil cooler seals, replaced the fan hub seal, replaced the main seal, replaced the oil filler seal, and replaced the dip stick tube seal, replaced the oil sender. I am still having a very active oil leak when it is warmed up and running. You can see it drip about 10 small drops a minute. It appears to be leaking towards the fan side of the motor but I cannot seem to locate the actual leak with a flash light. I did not test the oil cooler for leaks when I replaced the seals but it does not appear to be leaking from that side of the motor. Any thoughts?
