Fun things that are sneaking up on us (Please feel free to add other happenings
to the list, this is just what I know of):

April 4th (Thursday) the monthly official Austin Air Cooler gang gathering.  (I
am going to probably cut out early from the Austin's Pizza visit to see a
friend's band play at Rockin' Tomato.).

April 5th-6th the Lone Star Round Up - Not a VW event but extremely cool.  Here
is a link: http://lonestarroundup.com/

April 7th (Sunday) the V.O.S.A. Spring Picnic.  Here is a link:

April 19th-20th the Texas VW Classic.  Here is a link:

April 26th-28th the Austin Psych Fest - Not a VW event - Not
an auto event but amazingly awesome music and it will be held
at a beautiful ranch and THERE IS CAMPING!  Here is a link:

May 5th (Sunday) the Bugs and Bikes for Zebras show - This is a first time for
this show.
It will be held in Canyon Lake.  It is to raise money for those fighting a form
of cancer that one
of our VW family members has been fighting for years.  Here is a link:

May 18th (Saturday) the Blanco Classic Car Show.  This event is held at the
Blanco State Park
right along the Blanco River so it is a pretty site for a show and you can camp
at the park for the weekend.
This is not a VW event but the one time I went there were a couple of VWs
there. Here is a link:

May 18th-19th the Monumental Bug Bash hosted by the Bay Area VW Club

June 13th-16th the Republic of Texas Rally. This is an event for bikers but in
the past there has
been a group of VW friends camping and partaking in the mayhem.  Here is a
link:

August 16th-18th the Burke Rally.  This is not a VW event but open to all makes
and models of autos
and bikes as well.  It is held in Driftwood in a park across from The Saltlick.
It is a family friendly event
with tons of stuff happening all weekend including lots of live music and a BBQ
cook off and camping.
This event raises money for the Burke Center.
