Is slow -- but now fairly steady.

Got out Monday night and fought with the CV's for a couple of hours. Lots
of PB!Blaster and elbow grease. Outer CV's had 3 different types of
fasteners (allen head, regular 13mm hex head, and regular CV star head)
and only 9 or 10 between the two sides. The inners which I already had
loose had a mix of allen and star heads -- and all 12 were there.

After seeing the way the outers were attached I'm glad I had already
decided to replace them AND the tranny. With that type of hack work there's
no telling what condition they were in.

I ordered new half-shafts today (err -- yesterday) for pick up on
Monday.

I got out there tuesday and used some suggestions from the type2 list to
get that shift coupler back on. The new cage fits well, I just needed to
gently lock the hockey stick out in the 2/4 position with padded vise grips
so i could jockey the cage into a straight-on position without shoving it
back in.

Any idea why someone chose a SQUARE head grub screw that no normal socket
will grab hold of? That thing is a pain in the rear to tighten up using a
crescent hammer.

So, we're going to manage the landlord's storage units out of our office.
Cool, I get a free 10x20 unit that is right across the ditch from our
parking lot. I can stick the Rivi in there and not have to tow it 45 miles
when I need to get it out of our parking lot.

Spent an hour figuring out that THAT ain't gonna happen. The Rivi top is
about 4" too high in the center. The hardtop bus will fit great so I'll
move it up here later.

Anyway, tranny is in and attached to shifter. Need to replace half-shafts
then install engine. After engine install and initial fire up I need to go
over the brakes and electricals. Should be ready for Jerome easy.
