Hi there,

Since I'm new to the list, I have a question.........where do you live?
I've got at least one Bus that I need some body work and paint taken
care of on.

Peter

Hey ya'll. I'm back home. My mission to San Antonio had a flag on the
play,
so I turned around and went home.

I had a great time with all of you, even though Steve's rowdyness got us

yelled at by the park ranger, or was it Mike? (Inside joke, if you
don't
know you'll have to ask around).

Sammy should be proud of a great show. We seem to be getting more and
more
busses, zoon ve vill take over zee vorlt!

I hate to see anybody happier than me, but Mark has a sweety. She may
prove
to be a keeper.

Speaking of keepers, Trey, keep the oatmeal cookie lady happy. Good
cookies.
Nice lady. But really good cookies.

Dan got Homer into a little tussle with an 18 wheeler, lucky they got
away
with only a scrape, not much blood.

I need Mike Everett's E-mail address. I'm going to make him tell me how
to
make a bus like his new one for $1000 in one month. It's either lying or

Voodoo.

The whole trip was pretty uneventful. Murray almost died on the freeway
coming down, and I thought I was going to die only once. Not bad for a
long
trip. 1417 miles. With Murray on his back Big Daddy ( the truck's new
name )
got 14 MPG at 70 MPH most of the way. That ain't great, but it ain't
bad.
I'm not sure about making the Classic, it's a really long trip, but one
never knows. San Antonio may make new demands.

Oh, so I come home and today I went to the body shop where the crazy
toothless guy has Ruby, our Ghia convertible. He has had her about six
months since I told hime there was no hurry (don't ever say that to a
crazy
toothless auto body man). To remind you if you don't know, this is the
guy
who did alot of body work and shot the bus for $950. Well, before I left
he
had repaired and shot the front of Ruby where I had mangled the
headlight as
well as the metal all around it. He had finished the front end and
thought
he was done until I showed him a gouge on the apron behind the back
seat. He
had kept the car covered to protect the upholstery and just didn't see
it.
Well, after a few months he called to say that he just wasn't happy
with
the match and wants to paint the whole thing. I said fine and went down
to
his shop showed him the paint chip I wanted and he says he's going to
shoot
her tonight. As I am leaving he says, "Now, I'm sorry, but you'll have
to
pay for the paint" (I had already paid him the rediculous figure of $385
for
the repair and painting of the front) Now he is going to re-shoot the
whole
car. So I says How much?

"About $100".

He is going to do the body work and paint her in a root beer colored
gold
flake for a total of $485.

Dan, you need to get Homer up here before this guy dies or something.
