Guess I should introduce myself! I am Rob Laffoon from Omaha NEbraska and I
love my busses! Dan Kinsey gave me the bug when he took me for a cruise around
the country in his Binz about 1 years ago! At the time I had a 1972 Westfalia
and it was fun and all but not a splittie!
So I start looking and I find a 1966 Single cab in Tulsa that I buy and the
next thing I know is Dan is hooking me up with a guy that want to make my bus
into a toy! So it was the first Johnny Lightning bus and it is Velvet Green!
If you know the toy if you look closely the even reproduced our camping club
logo on the back of the bus!
Then I fould a 1961 23 window locally and got it! It is called Crusty Bus
cause it is but it is/was complete as I have ti tripped down now and for the
last 3 years!

2 years ago I traded my 1972 Westy for a 1960 Westy with 70k! The people that
had it bought it so they could store there scuba stuff in it and talked them
into storing there scuba stuff in the 72! For a $1000 they did the trade and
it is a beautiful bus! No Rust, Wood is great, Just need to amke some OG
seats for it or find some in good condition! Well just wanted to say HI after
all the welcome emails and hope to get down there some winter cause I go North
in the summer!
