They rectanglar port (ovalish) I have heard them called D shaped copper gaskets 
about 2.5MM thick

    The 2 Flanges have a 3 bolt triangle , towards the front of the motor there 
is a rectanglar port going up for the blower motor and where the flapper valve 
is round I think it's been slacked around with a hammer pretty good

      Is the heater box your looking for a square port or round port? I know 
the 79 2 liter was a square port.

         Help ,I am looking for a heater box 2.0L F.I.   78  GE case passenger 
side . I've been trying to put the Heating system back together . It was 
missing the flapper valve and the sheetmetal connecting the two but I got them 
(i think) , I will be at T@P. If you can help please give me a call
