Thanks Jeff,
I just called the guy and he said that it is a passenger van (not a westy).
He also says that he took the engine to the machine shop, who told him
that the block and heads were trashed.
He also says that the engine is completely disassembled down to the last
nut and bolt [but complete].
If it was a westy, I would be driving up to Austin right now...
