Deck height doesn't count in the calculations.

If the cylinders are not too out of round rehone them and rering the 88s
with total seal rings.  You have to use a micrometer to assess if they can
still be used and while you are there check the pistons.  If they are too
far gone go with 90.5s.  There are also thick wall 92s now however they
require machining you don't have.  I would also check on that about 90.5s
being a slip in for machined 88s.  From what I recall they are different.
