Sammy, now that I think of it, I think you are right. The entire time I owned
the Berkley, I probably pronounced the name? wrong. It wasn't until after I got
rid of it that someone corrected me on the pronunciation.

I owned that car for less than a year and? I remember you could lift up the
back end by yourself. Shortly after buying it, I left it with our local high
performance auto "Guru" to be "speed tuned". He promptly "blew the engine" and
told me it wasn't his fault.

It took me 6 months to get parts, etc. to rebuild the Excelsior motor. The next
weekend it went straight to a local VW dealer and traded for a? '58 black VW
sedan with Firestone Phoenix whitewall tires. What a difference!

Darn, I finally know someone that actually owned a Berkley (I think that is the
correct spelling instead of Barkley, the Brits pronounce it Barkley but it is
spelled Berkley).? Those were awesome cars for handling and made some headway
in sports car racing in their day since they handled so great.? And yeah, you
could retire in style if you had all of those back in the same condition and
sell them now.?

Being what I believe to be the senior member of this group, I have decided to
enter my list. If only I had some of these cars back. It would make retiring so

follows:

That's not half as bad as leasing a Volvo. I had 2001 V70 T5 that I leased.

I will never, ever do that again. That wasn't on the list because I'm

still

fuming over that car.

I wish that thing had done blowd up so I could have walked away from it.

'74 VW Beetle
'84 VW Vanagon Westy
'79 VW? Super Convertible
'05 Chevrolet SSR Roadster Pick Up

Wow!? I hope I got them all. I may be a little fuzzy on some of the years but,
for any skeptics, I have shown Sammy some of the photos. With today's prices,
can you imagine what the total value of this list would be?

That's not half as bad as leasing a Volvo. I had 2001 V70 T5 that I leased.

I will never, ever do that again. That wasn't on the list because I'm

still

fuming over that car.

I wish that thing had done blowd up so I could have walked away from it.
