When we had a Boy Scout "Jam" there we obviously cooked our own food.

The tv news here made a big deal about how much vendors made at the ROT Rally - 
the example was 10k a day. I could understand why they would say no outside 
food or drink.

My guess is that they have paper rules for the vendor contracts. And cooking 
and drinking in the camping area is no big deal.
