Brake lube ? what is that ? the only moving part is the disc - do you coat
the disc or pad with it?

Did you lubriucate the moving parts with brake lube when you put the first
ones together?  This prevents squeaks.

I put new "German" pads on the front of NewDee and after 1000 miles they
squeaked and squeaked - driving the wife nuts (I'd tap on the brakes and try
to play a melody) anyway I finally pulled them off and put new another set
of new German pads- no more squeal - go figure.
